EAPI mock Flashcards

1
Q

first time pass strength analysis

A

coaching points
- preperation phase open hips to be in line with ball and line up side of the foot with ball
- execution phase she pushes forward making contact with the ball ensuring the pass is a good weight for the distance the player is from her
- made 3/3 attempted
impact
- allowed play to be qucik and snappy in possession
- move the ball up the pitch efficiently to maintain possession in attacking 3rd away from danger
- the oppositon became tired as had to chase the ball
theory
- in the preperation phase of performing the pass the player externally rotates and extends at the hip using the gluteus maximus as the agonist.
- in the execution phase the performer then flexes the hip joint using the iliaspoas muscles as the agonist to move the leg towards the incoming ball.

Q

cross from corner
strength

A

justification
- observed two, one was very unsuccessful not reaching any of the desired players and hitting a bad area
- second was better reaching a teammate but had no outcome
- a corner set piece should be delivered consistently as it is the same each time so i have labelled this as a weakness
impact
-lost possession in a possible goal scoring opportunity
- the whole team then has to quickly recover the whole length of the pitch when clearance occurs meaning they become more tired and increased chance o f making mistakes
Theory
when performing the kick the player may not have applied enough velocity to the ball meaning that the horizontal distance was less.
- The angle of attack was less than 45 degrees leading to less height and distance on the kick.

Q

cardiovascular fitness strength

A

justification
- did not see the full 90 mins
- assumed as she didnt slow after multiple runs after the ball and kept up with play.
- when the ball went out she used the natural breaks in play well to recover
impact
- she was always able to keep her positioning in the central areas of the pitch
- fitness allowed her to do this as she could get there early predicitng where the ball may get through and block the ball from moving from the middle third to the attacking third
theory
this could be because she uses the correct training methods and intervals to maximise benefits.
- could have used interval training to mimic the demands of a football match
- periods of high intensity combined with periods of low intensity or rest
- aerobic training requires a 1-1 work to rest ration and a target HR or 120-160 bpm
- this would lead to cardiac hypertrophy with a more efficient cardiac sytem allowing a greater volume of blood to be pumped and therefore more o2 delivered which is a fuel source for the aerobic system.
