Beta blockers
Bisphosphonates
CCB

Nitrates
NSAIDs

Management for uninvestigated
PPI 4 weeks
Test for H Pylori
Offer H2 receptor antagonist if PPI didnt work
Management for functional
Life style
Test for H pylori and treat (before testing for H pylori, wait for 2 weeks to allow washout period for PPI
If no H pylori, treat with PPI or H2 receptor antagonist
What is the treatment follow up for uninvestigated and functional?
If symptoms persist following initial management then offer PPI/H2 receptor antagonist - use lowest dose PRN
What shall we do if NSAIDs cannot be stopped
- use lowest dose
- in uninvestigated dyspepsia taking aspirin, consider alternative antiplatelet drug as aspirin is an NSAID - choose another antiplatelet drug
