homicide assault terroristic threats stalking kidnapping criminal restraint false imprisonment sex assault crim sex contact lewdness criminal mischief burglary criminal trespass harassment *robbery *criminal coercion *cyber harassment *DV order *any offense with involves injuries
victim of DV
over 18 or emancipated minor who DV by spouse former spouse household member regardless of age pregnant or has child regardless of age dating relationship *victim may be below 18 *assailant must be over 18 or emancipated
mandatory arrest
victim exhibits signs of injury
PC no contact order is in effect
warrant in effect
PC weapon involved
seizure of wepaons
plain view
not in plain view but located within the premise (consent in writing)
if possessor refuses then obtain a DV warrant.
*immediately deliver to prosecutors
Service of Temp restraining order
escort victim home
read conditions to the defendant
order defendant to vacate
give reasonable period of time to gather belongings
arrest defendant if told by order or if failure to comply
out of state orders
order will be considered valid if:
contains names
not expired
victim notifies that defendant appeared in court or had notice
*only NJ and Washington orders have no expiration dates.

deteriorating work performance
- if involved supervisor will prepare and submit to eh executive a written request for a psych eval
Officers DV
arrest warrants charging officers with DV and protective orders issued at a later time should all be be served by no fewer than 2 officers with at least one being of senior rank to the officer served.
