Q

TX: Position when eating? position after eating? which side should they lie on? fluid with meals? increase carbs?

A

fowler’s or semi-recomant with meals (lye back a little bit) lie down left side (the side the stomach is on); we want to keep the food in the stomach. versus right side to make the stomach empty. no fluids with meals. they can drink it in between meals. decrease crabs because carbs empty fast
