Hyperglycemia, hyperlipidemia, hyperuricemia
Drug of choice for hypertensive patient with pulmonary edema.
Furosemide
Activates Alpha2 adrenergic receptors. Can also be used in opiod withdrawal
Clonidine
Notable side effect of Clonidine. What is the treatment for the said SE.
Rebound hypertension. Taper to avoid It and administer PHENTOLAMINE

Methyldopa

Hemolytic Anemia ( Positive Coombs Test)
A ganglion blocker which is now an obsolete treatment for HPN. It has a postural hypotension side effect
Hexamethonium

Severe psychiatric depression, suicidal ideation
Most selective for prostatic smooth muscle and can also be used in HPN
Tamsulosin
An alpha 1 selective adrenergic antagonist that serves as both antihypertensive and Tx for BPH
Prazosin

Has a combined alpha and beta blockade and may be used for pheochromocytoma
Labetolol
Blocks Beta1 and Beta2 receptors. Used for HPN and anginal prophylaxis.
