ALTERNATIVE= NOT ACETAMINOPHEN if the goal of tx is to prevent inflammation—- YES tylenol for alternative to pain

MOA-anti-inflammatory
IND=patients who cannot use NSAIDs or corticosteroids to tx gout, used in acute pseudogout attacks and can be used prophy for pseudogout if PT has 3+ attacks annually
safe in renal injury

ONLY MED TO BE USED IN ACTUE AND CHRONIC GOUT
