A

For bronchospasm; acute asthma; severe allergic rxns & anaphylactic shock; apnea:

Adults & Peds: 5 mg/kg IV over 20-30 minutes + 0.5-0.8 mg/kg/hr infusion.

A

bronchospasm due to COPD; Inhibits nasal secretions:

Adult inh: 2 inh x4/d up to 12/d
Adult neb: 500 mcg 3-4/d

Ped inh: 1-2 inh x3/d up to 6/d

Terbutaline

A

acute asthma; bronchospasm/COPD; delays premature labor in pregnancies between 20-34 weeks:

bronchospasm: 0.25 mg SQ ea 15-30m prn -or- neb 1 mg/3ml NSS
preterm labor: 2.5-10 mcg/min IV up to 30 mcg/min

12-18 yo: 0.01 mg/kg up to 0.4 mg/dose ea 15-20 minutes for 2 doses
