Central Nervous System Drugs
Ex: antidepressants, antipsychotics, antianxiety, antiseizure, antimigraine, stimulants, opioids, and treatments for Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s diseases.
Dizziness, sleepiness, changes in heart rate and breathing, confusion, drowsiness, nausea, dry mouth, insomnia, nervousness, weight changes, impaired motor control, changes in blood pressure, and restlessness.
Respiratory Drugs
Ex: inhaled corticosteroids, beta agonists, and meds for asthma and COPD treatment
Tremor, fast heart rate, sore throat, throat irritation, and oral fungal infections.
Gastrointestinal Drugs
Ex: Acid reducing meds (like Proton Pump Inhibitors) and immune modulating meds (such as infliximab)
Headache, dizziness, rash, and infusion related reactions.
Endocrine Drugs
Ex: meds for diabetes, thyroid disorders, and corticosteroids
Low blood sugar, weight or appetite changes, nausea, vomiting, and upset stomach.
Hormonal Drugs
Ex: estrogens, progestins, and testosterone

Ex: ACE inhibitors, angiotensin receptor blockers, Ca channel blockers, beta blockers, and diuretics

Ex: statins, ezetimibe, niacin, fenofibrate, and gemfibrozil

Cardiac Drugs (Clotting)
Ex: aspirin, warfarin, heparin, low molecular weight heparin, and newer anticoagulants (dabigatran, rivaroxaban, etc.)
