Enteral Drug Route
A
Enteral refers to any part of the GI tract
Ex. Oral , Rectal, Sublingual, GI Tube/Feeding Tube

Parenteral Drug Route
A
Parenteral refers to injected or infused routes
Ex. Intravenous (IV), Intra Muscular (IM), Subcutaneous (SC), Intraosseous (IO)

Transdermal Drug Route
A
Refers to drugs being absorbed through the skin for systemic effects

Topical Drug Route
A
Refers to drugs being absorbed through the skin for local effects

Inhalation Drug Route
A
Refers to drugs given via the lungs when breathed in
Generally two types of inhaled drug forms
As a gas (e.g. Nitric Oxide)
As an aerosol (e.g. Ventolin)
