How does morbilliform eruption present?
generalised maculopapular rash
What type of hypersensitivity reaction is morbilliform eruption?
type 4 T-cell mediated
(delay of 1-2 weeks between drug and rash)

Amoxicillin (especially if patient infected with EBV)
Beta-lactam antibiotics
Sulphonamides
Allopurinol
How does fixed drug eruption present?
circular, erythematous patches
may contain a blister
recur in same location every time drug is taken
pigmentation may remain after healing

Paracetamol
Sulfomanides
Tetracycline antibiotics
How does lichenoid eruption present?
similar to lichen planus, although more commonly affects trunk and Wickham’s striae usually absent
Purple, pruritic, polygonal, planar papules/plaques
Longitudinal ridging may be seen in nails
Typically presents 2 months after starting medication
