Guaifenesin (Expectorant) is usedto reduce chest congestion caused by the common cold, flu, or chronic bronchitis.
Adult dosage: immediate release 200-400mg × every 4 h

Or sustained release: 600-1200mg every 12 h
DO NOT EXCEED 2.4 g/day
