Apply tourniquet
Alcohol skin and let dry
Catheter at 45 degrees on skin (bevel up)
Decrease angle to up to parallel to skin, push indwelling catheter and withdraw needle
Attach needle adapter
Remove tourniquet
Open line and observe fluid flow
