What happens to water supplies in a drought
Decrease. This is because things like river ands lakes aren’t replenished by rainfall so when people keep using them it runs out. Also high temperatures cause evaporating which also decrease the level of water
What climatic conditions cause a drought
When there are changes in the atmospheric circulation. Cause it not to rain in a area for years.
High pressure weather systems block depressions which cause rainfall so it doesn’t fall.
Which countries are most at risk
North Eastern, Sahel Southern Africa
Middle Eastern Australia
Eastern southern America
Indonesia
Why do people continue to live in these zones
Lived there their whole lives have friends and family they don’t want to move away from
Don’t think it will happen again
