BOMB
An explosive or other lethal agent together with its container or holder, which is dropped from an aircraft
Used to destroy/ damage / injure / kill

Any heavy timber, metal beam, or bar design to take a straight

BOMB/NOSE FUSE
Fuse designed to be inserted in the front end of a bomb
BOMB TAIL FUSE
Fuse designed to be inserted in the aft (back) the end of the bomb
BOMB ARMING VANE
Component of a drive assembly that rotates when exposed to the airstream and is used to arm some types of bomb fuses
BOMB ARMING WIRE
It cable, wire, or lanyard attached to the aircraft and route it to the weapon system to prevent arming initiation prior to weapon release.
BOMB TAIL ASSEMBLY
Assembly of fins and / or vanes of ordinance that provide directional stability or guidance
BOMB TAIL ASSEMBLY - UNRETARDED DELIVERY
term used to describe bomb delivery in which the trajectory of the weapon is not shortened by the use of retard fins or a parachute.
Sometimes referred to as sick fins or free fall

Submunition
Bombs / grenades / mines and other small miscellaneous munition items.
Which are dispensed from cluster bombs, cluster bomb unit (CBU) systems, modular weapon systems, and artillery dispensing rounds. These munitions, although generally small, have no standard size or shape.
