What is DR <C> ABCDE?</C>
C: catastrophic haemorrhage
A: airway
B: breathing
C: circulation

What things should you do for <C>?</C>
Check for any haemorrhage causing external bleeding
What things should you do for A?
Check the airway is open by looking inside/ listening for any snoring/stridor breathing.
Add airway adjacents if required
Use jaw thrust/ head tilt chin lift
Apply BVM/oxygen if required/blocked
What things should you do for B?
Look, feel, listen approach
Resp Rate of breathing
Depth of breathing
Equal on both sides?
SPO2 levels
Any bruising/deformity in chest?
What things should you do for C?
Check pulse
Check capillary refill
Monitor heart rate
Monitor blood pressure
Check skin colour/ for cyanosis
Fluid retention?
Signs of shock?
Pelvic sling?
What things should you do for D?
AVPU
PEARL
Check blood glucose
Secondary survey
What things should you do for E?
Analyse surroundings
Keep warm if necessary
Bring tent
Cordon area
