Q

Four conditions for a valid application of the PRINCIPLE OF DOUBLE-EFFECT

A
  1. the nature of the ACTION (means) is itself morally good, or at least morally indifferent.
  2. The agent intends (end)
the good effect and precede the evil effect or
At least be simultaneous with it
  3. The good effect outweighs the bad effect in circumstances sufficiently grave to justify causing the bad or at least equal to bad effect
  4. Intention of the agent should be
directed towards the good effects, never to the evil effect
