Dos Santos & Brandao 2011 findings

A

Muscimol injections into the anterior hypothalamic nucleus or dorsomedial portion of ventromedial hypothalamic nucleus resulted in reduced conditioned freezing in response to a light-conditioned stimulus
Semicarbazide injections in the anterior hypothalamic nucleus had the opposite effect. Semicarbazide injection in dm portion of vm hypothalamic nucleus had no impact on freezing to light conditioned stimulus.
