Domestic Policy Flashcards

1
Q

What were crown lands?

A

Henry attempted to bring back as much land as he could under the crowns power.
When there was a drop in income from this land due to inefficient collection from the Court of Exchequer Henry reverted to using the royal households rather than the Court of Exchequer.
This increased the income from £12,000 to £42,000 per year.
