CREATION WITNESS
All humanity is created in the image of God.
God’s intention is the harmony of humanity with himself and all creation.
We have been terribly scarred by sin arising from human disobedience.
The consequence of sin is separation from God.
This is our universal human condition.

Guilt
is a legal concept describing one’s relationship to a law. It is a state of deserving condemnation for the violation of the law.
Pollution
defines our moral condition (= totally depraved).

What this does not mean:
That the unsaved are fully depraved as we could be, though the potential is present.
That the unsaved lack a conscious to recognize good from evil; right from wrong.
That the unsaved will naturally want to commit every possible sin.
That the unsaved are not capable of doing good for the benefit of others

Every aspect of humanity has been infected: mind, body, soul, spirit
Loving God is not a natural desire of fallen man

Forbearance
(He bears with us) – although exposed to the wrath of God (Rom. 2:5) we are not subject to the full expression of God’s displeasure; this forbearance is open to abuse and misinterpretation (Ps. 103:10; 130:3)

Judgment
given with the purpose of bringing men to repentance; Jesus taught that what had befallen those singled out for special judgment as that which fell on Sodom (Gen. 18:32)was not final. They along with everyone will await final judgment (Mt. 10:15; 11:20-24). Man is judged for choices made.
