Q

DNA Structure

A

DNA is made of the backbone and nitrogen-rich bases. The backbone is made of sugar (deoxyribose) and phosphate molecules. The backbone is in the shape of a double helix. The bases make up the genetic code.

Q

Proteins

A

Made of amino acids. Each amino acid is coded by a sequence of 3 nucleotides. There are many types of proteins including structural, enzymes & regulatory (hormones).
