- Unlawful to discriminate, Harass or Victimise
- Any changes to accommodate must be reasonable
- If faced with an obstacle the employer must:
* Alter it
* Remove it
* Provide alternative access
* Provide reasonable means to avoid it

What is unconscious bias?
Social stereotypes about certain groups of people that individuals form outside of their own conscious awareness
Why is it important to understand/recognise unconscious bias?
Unconscious bias can have significant influence on our attitudes & behaviours. It can influence key decisions in the workplace & contribute to inequality
How can unfair judgements be mitigated against?
Avoid making assumptions
Challenge opinions/make considered decisions
Ask for reason & justification
Be aware of unconscious bias & educate others on this
What is discrimination & how can it be avoided?
Unfair or prejudicial treatment of an individual because of a protected characteristic under the Equality Act 2010
