Diversity, Inclusion and Teamworking Flashcards
Tell me about an example where you have worked well in a team
During Covid, I was handling Check submissions made as part of the Check Challenge Appeal process for Business Rates. We received a very high volume of Check submissions, and more people were assigned to the team to handle the checks. I trained new team members and allocated work. We were able to meet our targets and enabled a number of colleagues to increase their skills.
How successful do you think this team was?
We were quite successful, as we handled large volumes of cases correctly and within the target time frames.
How could you have improved your role within the team?
I could have provided more 1 to 1 support with newer colleague’s beyond the initial training I delivered. I made sure that I was readily available, and carried out regular QC and followed up with colleague’s as to any errors made, but I could have scheduled more catch ups so enable people to feel better supported rather than wait for them to come to me.
What is a common issue you have come across when working in a team?
