What is unconscious bias?
It is a term that describes the associations we hold, outside our conscious awareness and control.
Being bias without the knowledge of it
Our brain automatically making quick judgments and assessments.
Why is diversity and inclusion important?
Encourages new perspectives, with people from a wide range of backgrounds offering their views, expertise, and experiences.

What is the Equality Act 2010?
The Equality Act 2010 legally protects people from discrimination in the workplace and in wider society. It replaced previous anti-discrimination laws with a single act, making the law easier to understand and strengthening protection in some situations.
What is diversity ?
The practice or quality of including or involving people from a range of different social and ethnic backgrounds and of different genders, sexual orientations, etc
What is inclusion ?
The practice or policy of providing equal access to opportunities and resources for people who might otherwise be excluded or marginalized, such as those who have physical or mental disabilities and members of other minority groups.
How would you manage unconscious bias?
Promoting space for open discussion (honest and open dialogue)
example of unconscious bias:
overhearing one of your favourite colleagues mutter an inappropriate comment and thinking “there must be a misunderstanding” because it doesn’t align with your positive view of that person.
