Distal radioulnar art, membrana interossea antebrachii and radiocarpal art. Flashcards
1
Q
Membrana interossea antebrachii
A
- MIA is strengthened between the bodies of radius and ulna
- In the proximal part there is a strong fibrous band - chorda obliqua, which runs from tuberositas radii to processus coronoideus ulnae
- Links both antebrachial bones, restricts supination and serves as a plane for adjoining of numerous antebrachial muscles
2
Q
Distal radioulnar artriculation
A
- Caput ulnae (head) is connected with the incisura ulnaris radii (pit)
- Joint pit completed bz discus artricularis which attaches to the margins of the incisura ulnaris radii and to processus styloideus ulnae
- Joint capsule attached to margins of the joint surfaces
- Cylindrical joint (monoaxial) - enables pronation and supination
- Ulna is fixed during movement
- Movement of the joint is accompanied by concomminant movement in the elbow joint
3
Q
Radiocarpal joint
A
- Joint pit is the facies artricularis carpalis radii, extended ulnarlly using the discus artricularis from the distal radioulnar joint
- Joint head is formed by: os scaphoideum, os lunatum and os os triquetrum
- These three bones are joined together using ligamentua intercarpalia interossea
- Joint capsule attached to margins of joint surfaces
