Dissociative Amnesia
memory loss not form another disorder
localized- Total loss during a circumscribed period
Selective- are able to recall limited personal memories
Generalized- loss of whole life up to and including event
physical basis- anterograde amnesia
psychological basis- retrograde amnesia;
Dissociative fugue
purposeful travel or bewildereed wandering associated with amnesia for identity and other autobiographical info. usually brief (hours to days unobtrusive lifestyle during fugue with spontaneous termination of amneia
Dissociative Identity Disorder
Disruption of identity by more than 2 distinct personality states and inability to recall personal info while alter is in control
Depersonalization/Derealization Disorder
Experiences of unreality detachment or being an outside observer with respect ton one’s thoughts, feelings, sensations, body or actions
Derealization is detachment with respect to surroundings
Person knows that the perceptual experience is just mispercept
