EDC-Intense fear with somatic or cognitive symptoms, as an abrupt onset with episode peak within minutes.

Agoraphobia

A

-excessively and persistently fears greater than or equal to 2 of the following:

  1. -Using public transportation
  2. -Being in open spaces
  3. -Being in enclosed spaces
  4. -Standing in line or being in a crowd
  5. -Being outside of the home alone.

Trigger: fear that escape may be difficult. can be diagnosed with panic disorder or stand alone

Generalized Anxiety Disorder

A

uncontrolled anxiety about multiple events and have greater than 3 of the following-

  1. restless
  2. on edge
  3. decreased concentration
  4. muscle tension
  5. fatigued
  6. irritability
  7. insomnia
  • don’t diagnose if you can explain it a different way. typically start at a young age and are chronic and are usually first seen because of physical symptoms.

Trigger- Anything.
