Sufferers of ______ are argumentative and defiant, angry, irritable, and in some cases vindictive. They argue with adults, ignore rules and requests, deliberately annoy other people, and feel much anger and resentment. The symptoms should have 4 or more within 6 months. The sx. should occur most of the time.
Oppositional Defiant Disorder
(ODD)
This disorder featuring repeated, unprovoked verbal and/or behavioral outbursts with little to no prodromal period. This outburst is in response to a minor provocation by a close intimate associate.
Sufferers of ______ fails to control impulsive aggressive behavior in response to subjectively experienced provocation (psychosocial stressor) that would not typically result in an aggressive outburst.
Intermittent Explosive Disorder
(IED)
Children with ______ repeatedly violate the basic rights of others. They are often aggressive and may be physically cruel to people or animal, deliberately destroy other people’s property, steal or lie, skip school, or run away from home.
Sufferers threaten or harm their victims, committing such crimes as arson, shoplifting, forgery, breaking into buildings or cars, mugging or armed robbery.
As they get older, physical violence may include rape, or in rare cases, homicide.
Conduct Disorder
(CD)
A persistent pattern of disregarding and violating others’ rights has been present since age 15, demonstrated by behaviors such as repeated unlawful acts, deceitfulness, impulsivity, aggression, reckless disregard for safety, irresponsibility, and lack of remorse. The individual frequently fails to conform to social norms, engages in manipulative or reckless behavior, and shows little concern for the consequences of their actions. To meet the criteria, they must be at least 18 years old and have a history of conduct disorder before age 15. Additionally, these behaviors cannot occur solely during schizophrenia or bipolar disorder.
Antisocial Personality Disorder
Sufferers of ________ has deliberate and purposeful fire setting since they experience tension or affective arousal before setting a fire. They are fascinated, curious, interest, or attracted to fire. They “watch” fires in their neighborhood.
They experience pleasure, relief, and gratification when setting fire, witnessing it’s effects, or participating in it’s aftermath.
Fire-setting is NOT due to any hidden agenda (e.g. political ideology, vengeance, monetary gain etc.)
Pyromania
Sufferers of _______ FAILS TO RESIST impulses to steal items without any personal use or monetary value. They have a rising urge or tension before the theft, and they feel pleasure, gratification, or relief when committing it. Motivation is not behind any anger or vengeance, hallucination, or delusion.
