- used when you have discrete data
- bars don’t touch

- used when continuous data is grouped into intervals
- bars touch

A
used when looking at correlations between co-variables

A
used when an experiment produces continuous data (not grouped)

describe the two types of distributions
A
normal distribution - mean, median and mode are the same (symmetric)
skewed distribution - (slanted) goes from mode, median to mean (highest to lowest)

describe positive and negative skewed distributions
A
positive - goes down to the right
negative - goes down to the left
