fall on outstretched hand
violent hyperextension
what are the 5 different classification
- posterior
- anterior
- medial
- lateral
- divergent
what is a posterior dislocation
forearm bones go behind the arm
what is an anterior dislocation
forearm bones go infront of the arm
what is a medial dislocation
forearm bones go inwards relative to the arm

elbow area appears to have widened
-deformity
what management would take place
-reduction
-cast or brace
-flexibility/mobility
-strengthening exercises
-proprioception
surgery
what complications may occur
- vascular injury to the brachial artery
- nerve injury
- elbow stiffness
- heterotopic ossification
