Discovery Objections Flashcards
None of your business
None of your business - oh I apologize I didn’t mean to offend, I guess it would just be important for me to understand kinda where you’ve been prior to being on the phone with me. so that I can help you understand maybe what some of those quotes mean. I guess what’s the reason why you decided not to move forward with one of those companies? If you don’t mind me asking.
(I’m just shopping around)
We’ll have you found that a lot of the quotes your getting are around the same price?
No
We’ll have you considered that maybe the quotes your getting aren’t even for the same type of insurance?
No
I mean has anyone taken the time to help you understand why your getting these quotes?
Or are you just asking for a quote and someone is giving you a price and your ending the call?
I don’t want to think about that
hey (name) I get it I know you don’t want to think/talk about it but we are on the phone right now talking about life insurance so I guess what’s the alternative if you don’t get something? Is there a plan B?
I don’t think about those things
well it sounds like your thinking about it now tho so I guess if your aren’t able to find something that’s affordable and provides the amount of coverage your looking for what’s the alternative?
Education Objection
Remember when you said you got a quote for $100k for $38.
Let me ask you something real quick… why would a life insurance company give someone $100,000 in coverage for just $38 a month if they really thought there was a good chance that person was gonna pass away during those 10 years? Please tell me how make any sense?
You just hit the nail on the head The truth is — they’re banking on you outliving the policy. Matter of fact, over 97% of people outlive those types of policies. They collect your $38 every month, And All that money is going to stay with the insurance company and you don’t get any of it back. Is that what you want?
So tell me why you wouldn’t want a term policy?
You mentioned earlier to set aside part of this money for your funeral right? and you want a (burial/cremation) which could be any where from $x to $y right. So what happens then if you live 10yrs and a day and you pass and there is no money. Who pays for your funeral?
SSN objection
We dont do medical exams like we use to back in the day. Where we come to the house draw blood and take urine samples. It’s a lot easier these days. You’re gonna love this… we do something called a milliman report or MIB report. You will get documents on this in your application where you can download it. But we just check your prescription history and l little bit of the doctors notes and we use your SSN to cross our T and dot our Is. does that make sense?
The process used when completing an insurance enrollment for any insurance company is highly secure because it involves rigorous verification and encryption protocols to protect your personal information. In order for the insurance company to ensure that you’re eligible to receive these benefits, they must verify it through social security. Enrolling without verifying eligibility is considered insurance fraud, and I would be held accountable for that.
Look i know how it was back in the day and we dont do that stuff like we use to. I totally get your concern here. But there are 1 of a few reasons why the insurance company needs your ssn. Bc look i dont need it they need it… in order to submit the application. And the first reason is they need to verify your identity before they payout $15000 dollar policy to your beneficiary.
The 2nd reason is they will need to have that SSN to run those milliman and medical information bureau reports. Now your information is hippa certified and confidential so you will also get documents in the mail about your information being protected as well.
