Q

What is the definition of Diphthongs

A
Diphthongs are another class of sounds relating to vowels. They are like vowels because they are produced with a relatively open tract and a well defined formant structure and they serve as the nucleus of a syllable.
They are unlike vowels because they cannot be defined by a single vocal tract shape or a single formant pattern.
