Dimension of communication that has the use of language and words
Verbal Dimension
Dimension of communication that uses facial expressions, gestures, bodily movement, space and time, speed, pitch, volume, intonation
Nonverbal Dimension
Dimension of communication that involves spoken communication
Oral Dimension
Dimension of communication that involves transcription of thoughts and ideas (written message)
Written Dimension
Dimension of communication that involves the meticulous observation of appropriateness in dress, language, and setting,
formal dimension
Dimension of communication that uses a more casual approach with no regard for the formalities.
informal dimension
Dimension of communication that relies on the fact that Messages always have a Purpose. There is an intention when people communicate with others. In fact, this intention is why we want to communicate in the first place.
intentional dimension
Dimension of communication that is something you are not intended or planned to say or do. It includes everything else. It might be carelessly chosen words, or the location where the message is being transmitted, it might be facial expressions, etc. In all cases, it is everything that is being expressed by virtue of being present (or not present!)
unintentional dimension
