Q

A

Milliamp second and it is the amount of particles coming out of the tube over a total exposure time.

17
Q

Once you have taken an X-ray, how do you take another view?

A

You click the “Acquire” button and put in the appropriate view.

18
Q

What must be at the correct setting?

A

The kVp and mAs settings.

19
Q

What is a survery Radiograph?

A

It is a baseline radiograph.

20
Q

Why should you never leave an animal unattented while getting and x-ray?

A

The animal needs to be monitered for signs of distress such as difficulty breathing, cyanosis, excessive panting, painful positions. Especially in geriatric or ill patients.

21
Q

What does AAHA require on a developed x-ray?

A

Two visible edges indicating the radiation has been contained.

22
Q

What side do we take lateral x-rays on?

A

The right side unless DVM says different.

23
Q

Why is it important to take a inspiratory picture on a chest xray?

A

The animal should be breathing in b/c it gives more contrast in results.

24
Q

What must always be worn on your scrubs when taking an x-ray?

A

Radiology Badge
