Steps in CR process:

1. PSP Plate is exposed to X-rays
2. Electrons jump up to the conduction layer, but some fall back down (emitting a blue light)
3. Electrons contain the latent image
4. Insert the PSP into the reader
5. Helium neon laser scans the PSP plate, releasing the trapped electrons. They come back down, again releasing blue light.
6. The blue light is sent to the photodetector
7. From the Photodetector goes to the ADC
8. ADC Converts it into an electrical signal
9. Then that signal is sent to the computer
