The soluble products are absorbed into the bloodstream and transported around the body

The soluble products of digestion are taken into the cells where they are used

Removal of waste food (defecation)
What do enzymes do?
Enzymes break food into small and soluble pieces
What does the Amylase enzyme break down?
Carbohydrates into simple sugars
What does the Protease enzyme break down?
Proteins into amino acids
What does the Lipase enzyme break down?
Fats into fatty acids and glycerol
