what is the pancreas?
an organ that produces digestive juice to break down food. amylase, lipase, and protease (breaks down proteins) are produced.
what is the gallbladder?
an organ that makes and stores bile. bile is an enzyme that breaks down fat

an organ that helps make bile
what is the stomach?
an organ that helps break down food. it mixes and churns and produces digestive enzymes and acids like lipase, amylase, and lactase
what is the esophagus?
an organ that pushes food down into the stomach. it produces no enzymes
what is the small intestine?
an organ that mixes and pushes food using the enzymes from the pancreas and liver
what is the large intestine?
absorbs undigested food and pushes waste to the rectum
what is the pharynx?
a muscle that conducts the food to the esophagus
