Q

How does active transport work in humans?

A

Active transport happens in the gut. This occurs when there is a lower concentration of nutrients in the gut than there is in the blood. If this is the case, it goes from a lower concentration (gut) to a higher concentration (blood) - going against a concentration gradient.
