The county court
All indictable offences except murder and murder related offences are heard in this court. Such as serious theft armed robbery trafficking illegal drugs
All civil disputes involving unlimited amount of money like defamtion negligaance cases
The supreme court (Jurisdiction original)
The supreme court has the power to hear , all serious indictable criminal offences but generally hears the most serious cases, such as murder and murder related offences
The supreme court of appeal (Appellate)
The supreme court of appeal has the power to hear all cases from the county court and supreme court . Although an appeal can only be processed if a party has a good reason or reasons or reasonable grounds
The high court (federal court)
The high court has the power to hear many cases, including appeals from any state or terrirtory, supreme court of appeal and high court.
Majistrates court
The Magistrates’ Court is the first level of Victoria’s court system, It deals with legal disputed and less serious matters like traffic offences and property damage
