Q

what is RNI?

A

-Reference nutrient intake
-Amount of nutrient that is enough to ensure the needs of nearly all groups are being met(most people will have lower requirements)
-used for reference amount for population groups and used for individual micronutrient recommendations

Q

What is LRNI?

A

-lower reference nutrient intake
-the amount of nutrient that is enough for a small umber of people that have low requirements
-is only 2.5% of population- majority need more
-meausres nutritional inadequacy
