What is diabetic nephropathy?
A
kidney damage caused by diabetes
develops slowly over many years
- clinical syndrome characterized by:
1) persistent albuminuria (>300 mg/d or >200 μg/min) that is confirmed on at least 2 occasions 3-6 months apart
2) progressive decline in GFR
3) elevated arterial blood pressure
