Why do neonates of diabetic women sometimes get hypoglycaemia?
A
They’re fat babies who have a high sugar requirement, b/c theyre receiving so much glucose from the mother.
In utero they learn to produce lots of insulin to counteract this.
When they’re born the excess glucose goes away but they still have lots of insulin
