Dyads

small groups who interact frequently
Crowds
larger groups of adolescence or others with similar identities or afflictions
Stage 1
Young people formed cliques (small groups of 4-10) of the same sex
Cliques- they meet often to plan activities, share gossip, tight stutter and authority figure as a leader
Membership- conformity with dress, interests and attitudes and required similar rates of progress in forming personal relationships with members of the opposite sex

Stage 4
a fully developed crowd number of a number of couples in close association with one another
Stage 5
couple begin to go their separate ways
Generation Gap
suggests there is a divide between adolescence and their parents
