A
- We like people who are similar to us because they affirm our own views and attitudes
- If disagreement occurs the relationship people unbalanced

- We like people who are present when we experience feeing good
- Feeling god is sufficient for us to think that the other person likes us

Social Exchange Theory
A
- Whether you like someone is determined by the cost-benefit ratio
- We seek maximum reward and minimum cost

physical attraction or closeness

A
- we are more likely to be more attracted someone with similar views
- contrary to the view “opposites attract” we are more likely to be more attracted to someone who shares similar views, values, attitudes, beliefs, dress sense, level of education, religion and views on politics -arranged marriages often work as expectations, compatibility and ration decision making means couples come to love and respect one another over time

Reciprocity
A
- simply put we tend to like those who also like us back -this may be a result of the feeling we get about ourselves knowing that we are likeable -when we feel good when we are around somebody we tend to report a higher level of attraction toward that person
