What is adult literacy
Percentage of adults that can read and write
What is the mobile phone indicator
Number of mobiles per 1000 people
What is Birth Rate?
Number of births in a year per 1000 people
What is Gross National Income (GNI)
The income generated in the economy divided by the population
What is death rate
Number of deaths in a year per 1000 people
What is access to clean water indicator
Percentage of people that have access to safe, clean water.

An increase in wealth, whether it be a national or individual level

Development which has a direct impact on the populations quality of life

Freedom for the people to have a greater say in who governs their country

This could involve better quality for women and better race relations.
