Q

What is the SDLC and how does it differ from the General Process Model?

A
  1. Planning (feasibility and requirements)
  2. Analysis (data modeling)
  3. Design.
  4. Implementation (coding, testing).
  5. Maintenance.
SDLC talks more about the lifecycle of the Information system in the context of the organization. In a sense, it is broader than the general process model which deals primarily with the Planning, analysis, design. The implementation with the SDLC deals more the implementation of the IS into the organization.
