Both superpowers accepted the division of Germany and the USSR’s influence over Eastern Europe
How did the Helsinki Agreement go wrong
USSR did not stick to its word.It didn’t grant freedom of speech or freedom of movement to its citizens.This undermined the Helsinki Agreement and made USA distrust the USSR.
What did limiting the amount of ABM’S a country could have do ?

What was the SALT 2 TREATY
Signed in 1979.It was a treaty that banned the USA and the USSR from launching new missile peogrammes and limited the number of Mirvs a country could have.
