Physical attributes - 1 each
1) activities - represents a response to the questions what can you do there/why go there?
2) settings - the design of the setting is in the hands of the planner. E.g. The way a concert is staged.
3) facilities - focus is on the immediate physical features. E.g. Toilets, seats.
The social attributes - 1 each
1) service - the way employees interact with customers. Service quality and design is a strong feature of staff training and experience.
2) hosts - what do the locals think of tourists? Can include people in the destination.
3) management - managers and marketers brand the label and present the destination.
Destination image summary (2)
- rich multi layered mental representations combining many sources of information.
- they are important as the bridge in people’s minds between what destinations have to offer what motivates people to travel.
