Classic Contemporary
Used for drilling small holes, usually not larger than 1/4”

- form and function came together; produced a host of new materials including chrome, black leather, glass, ultrasuede
- natural forms of materials, lacquered finishes, simplified shapes, functionality, and ergonomic
Modern
- can be raised, lowered, turned, and tilled by hand, upside down saw with teethed circular saw
- motor and blade are suspended above
Radial arm saw
automatically surfaces the stock to thickness
Planer
designed for accurate, quick drilling of holes
Drill press
- regal and often detailed furnishings, from a variety of different time periods make up this style
- classic and exudes and ageless feel
- rich colors, plush fabrics, curved lines, intricate details, dark woods, tapered legs, lustrous accent materials
