Design Flashcards
What are the parts of a learning objective?
Condition, action and standard
What is an objective ‘Action’?
The behavior the student must exhibit during the training performance.
What are the outcomes of the Design Phase?
Learning objectives, evaluation instruments and training settings
Using Bloom’s Taxonomy, which domain is the lowest level?
Remember
When would a classroom setting be the best choice?
When the information is knowledge (or cognitive)
What is an objective ‘Standard’?
The measure of how well the student should perform.
What is ‘validity’ with respect to evaluations?
The degree to which a test measures what it was intended to measure.
Objectives shall…..
be job related. It’s what the student would see on the job.
What is a Terminal Objective?
It identifies, overall, the competency that the training is expected to produce.
What is an Enabling Objective?
It defines the specific knowledge, skills, and attitudes that the trainee will master at the completion of training.
Using Bloom’s Taxonomy, which domain is the highest level?
Create
What is a Cognitive Domain objective?
What the student must know to perform the job properly
If a Terminal Objective is used, does it have to have all three objective parts?
Yes, always
When would self-study be the best choice?
The training can be studied with little to no supervision or instructor involvement
When would a lab setting be the best choice?
When the information is hands-on (or psychomotor)
What is an objective ‘Condition’?
The prerequisites that exists at the beginning of the training performance.
What is a Psychomotor Domain objective?
The physical actions exhibited when performing job tasks
What is ‘reliability’ with respect to evaluations?
The consistency from evaluation to evaluation.
When an Enabling Objective is used with a Terminal Objective, do you physically type all three objective parts for that Enabling Objective on a lesson plan?
Not necessarily if the condition and/or standard are implied in the Terminal Objective
What is an Affective Domain objective?
Attitudes and values associated with reliable job performance
