what are pressure groups?
bodies of people with a shared interest in getting the government to change the law in a certain areas
target politicians, civil servants & local government offices by lobbying MP’s, organising petitions & gaining as much publicity as possible for their cause
what are cause groups?
promote a particular belief of ideal
large groups and have helped the government to consider the social and environmental impact of their policies
